Personal Information Protection Policy

The Company, for the handling of personal information of customers and employees that is needed for the operation of business, has prescribed this Policy based on the Company's Code of Ethics, has established a personal information management system, and shall respond as a company in a responsible manner.

  • 1.The Company shall specify the purpose of the use of personal information as much as is possible, and shall handle personal information appropriately within the range required for the achievement of the purpose.   • 5.When handling personal information, the Company shall endeavor to ensure the appropriate participation of the individual who provided the information, and shall endeavor to keep the personal information accurate and up to date as much as is possible.
  • 6.The Company shall adhere to laws and regulations on the protection of personal information, prescribe internal regulations on the protection of personal information, and continue to review and adhere to these.

The Company shall respect the privacy of all users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”), and shall pay close attention to the management of the personal information (in accordance with the definition below) of Users when handling this.

Definition of Personal Information

Personal information refers to information relating to an individual User, in which said User can be identified by a name, address, telephone number, email address, or other description, etc. stated in said information.In addition, even if a User cannot be identified by the information alone, information by which an individual User could ultimately be identified by simple collation with other information is also included in personal information.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The purpose of use of personal information on the Site is as set forth below. The Company shall not use personal information outside of this purpose without the consent of the individual.

  • (1)Authentication of individuals who are registered to the Site, and the provision of various services
  • (2)The online “campsite reservation service,” and the performance of business relating to this
  • (3)The provision of User and reservation information to the reservation system provider based on a reservation request from the User in (2) above
  • (4)Email service and the distribution of information, such as various notices, to Users who have provided their separate consent

Furthermore, there may be cases where the Company creates statistical data, processed so as individuals cannot be identified, based on the personal information it receives.
The Company may use statistical data by which individuals cannot be identified without any restriction.

Voluntary Provision of Personal Information

The items of personal information required for the implementation of the respective services on the Site are marked “required” on the registration screen.
If such items are not filled in, the User may not be able to receive certain services, such as the making of reservations with the Company.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

In principle, the Company shall not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the consent of the individual User.
Personal information shall only be provided upon having specified the intended recipient and content of the information to be provided, and having obtained the consent of the User.
However, in the following cases, within the range where not in violation of relevant law, personal information may be provided without the consent of the User.

  • (1)In the event of the Company reasonably determining that an act of the User that is prohibited in the Terms of Use, such as the making of a reservation for commercial or diverted purpose, the transferring of rights, the making of overlapping reservations, or the registration of false information, will cause disadvantage to the Company or a third party
  • (2)In the event of there being a particular need in order to improve public health or to promote the wholesome raising of children, and it being difficult to obtain the consent of the individual User
  • (3)In the event of a government agency, local government body, or a contractor thereof requiring cooperation in order to perform business prescribed by law, and the obtaining of the consent of the individual User may cause interference with the performance of this business
  • (4)In the event of a request for disclosure of personal information from a court, a public prosecutor's office, the police, the bar association, the Consumer Center, or a body with similar authority
  • (5)In the event of an explicit request from the individual User for disclosure or provision to a third party
  • (6)In the event of disclosure or provision being permitted by law
  • (7)In the event of all or a part of the business relating to the handling of personal information being outsourced within the range required for the achievement of the purpose of use
  • (8)In the event of personal information being provided in conjunction with the succession of business by merger or other reason, where said personal information will be handled within the range of the purpose of use prior to the succession
Scope of Applicability as Third Party

In the following cases, the person receiving the provision of personal information shall not fall applicable as a third party.

  • (1)In the event of the Company outsourcing all or a part of the handling of personal information within the range required for the achievement of the purpose of use. (The Company shall bear responsibility for the handling of personal information at the contractor.)
  • (2)In the event of personal information being provided in conjunction with the succession of business due to merger of the Company or other reason.
Outsourcing of the Processing of Personal Information

The Company may outsource all or a part of the business relating to the handling of personal information. It should be noted that the Company shall bear responsibility for the handling of personal information at the contractor.

Changing, etc. of Personal Information

In principle, requests for the disclosure, revision, or suspension of use of personal information may be made by the individual only.
If the User is a registered member of the Site, said User may view, change, and delete personal information online at any time.
In addition, other Users may contact our help desk. However, in the event of the concern of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual User or a third party, in the event of a concern of significant hindrance being caused to the appropriate performance of the services of the Site, and in other cases that would constitute a violation of the law, disclosure may not be provided.
In addition, in the event that the suspension of use or suspension of provision to third parties (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") of said personal information would require a significant cost, or the Suspension of Use, etc. would be difficult for any other reason, if the measures necessary in order to protect the rights and interests of the User are taken instead of such action, the Company may not respond to the request for Suspension of Use, etc.

The Company shall endeavor to perform accurate data processing on the personal information provided for the Site, however the User shall bear responsibility for the accuracy and the keeping up to date of the content of the provided personal information.

Restrictions on the Acquisition of Sensitive Personal Information

In principle, the Site shall not obtain personal information that includes the content indicated below. Provided, however, that this shall not apply where personally provided by the User.

  • (1)Matters relating to thought, creed and religion
  • (2)Race, ethnicity, lineage, domicile (excluding information relating to prefecture), physical or mental disability, criminal history, or other factors that cause social discrimination
  • (3)Matters relating to the right to organize, collective bargaining, and other group activities of workers
  • (4)Matters relating to participation in group demonstrations, the exercising of petition rights, and the exercising of other political rights
  • (5)Healthcare and sex life
Management of Personal Information

The Company shall endeavor to implement the appropriate security measures in order to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of the personal information under its control.
Personal information shall be stored in a safe environment that cannot be accessed by general users.

Identification of the Individual

The Company, in the event of responding to a request for the disclosure, revision, deletion, or suspension of use of personal information, shall identify the individual through information by which the individual can be identified (name, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, member number, password, etc.).
However, the Company shall not bear responsibility in the event of information by which an individual can be identified being obtained and used by a person other than the individual.

Acquisition and Use of Behavior History in Which the Individual is Not Specified

The Company shall use cookies in order to protect the privacy of Users, improve convenience, distribute advertising, and to obtain statistical data.
In addition, the Company may use technology such as cookies and JavaScript to obtain a behavior history of the User on the Site (accessed URLs, content, reference order, etc.). However, cookies and behavior history shall not include any personal information.

Acquisition of Access Logs

Logs on access to the Site may be obtained in order to improve convenience and to create statistical data.
With the exception of where required by law, access logs shall not be disclosed to third parties.
If the sending of access logs is refused, the User may not be able to use the Site normally.
